Archived DCWP Inspections
An archival list of all inspections in DCWP's Accela system. This dataset features business inspections conducted by DCWP. DCWP enforces key consumer protection, licensing, weights and measures, and workplace laws. In addition to patrol (routine) inspections at brick-and-mortar businesses, DCWP inspects licensed vehicles such as horse-drawn cabs, pedicabs, sightseeing buses, and tow trucks to ensure they are in compliance with their respective asset class requirements. DCWP also conducts 'Business Education' inspections, which are educational, violation-free visits. These visits are designed to help business owners learn about and comply with the laws that DCWP enforces. Columns
Each source column, with the name and type we use to store it.
5 of 26 columns carry a concept; 26 carry a description from the publisher. Read the concept column before you join. A column with no concept carries no claim from us, and a name that looks like a key is not one.

community_board | Community Board | Community Boards are volunteer-run neighborhood organizations that work on all kinds of issues pertinent to their communities, often working with elected city officials in doing so. Community Board members, who can be as young as 16, are appointed by Borough Presidents and City Council representatives. They serve two-year terms. There are 59 Community Boards in NYC, each of which represents a unique geographical area, known as a Community District. Note: as a column header, “Community Board” (which refers to a group of Board members) is often used to mean “Community District” (the geographical area) instead. | community_districtdeclared | Number | community_board | numeric | — | |
bin | BIN | The BIN (Building Identification Number) is a unique 7-digit number assigned to every known building by the Department of City Planning (DCP), the first digit of which is the borough code. BINs allow city agencies to process and match building-related data easily and in a consistent manner. |
